Азиатская система сотовой и спутниковой связи
Система персональной радиотелефонной связи, созданная консорциумом ACeS, в который входят Индонезия, Филиппины и Таиланд. Система рассчитана на обслуживание до 2 млн. абонентов с помощью нескольких геостационарных КА (Garuda), охватывающих территорию Азии и Европы. В качестве абонентских устройств используются двухмодовые портативные “трубки”, в которых совмещены возможности работы в системах сотовой и спутниковой связи.
